Delete your ShopRunner account

Option 1 - Delete from inside the app (fastest)

1. Open ShopRunner on your phone.
2. Tap Menu → Settings → Delete my account.
3. Enter the OTP we send to your registered phone number or email address.
4. Confirm the deletion.

If you are the sole owner of a business, you will be prompted to either transfer ownership of the business to another member or delete the business first. This protects your team's shared data from being lost when you leave.

Option 2 - If you no longer have the app installed

Email [email protected] from the address registered on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will:

• Verify the request via OTP within 5 working days.
• Begin a 30-day grace period during which you can reverse the deletion by replying to our confirmation email.
• Permanently delete your personal data after the 30 days have elapsed.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Account credentials and authentication session tokens.
• Items, lists, and notes you personally added.
• Photos you uploaded to your business catalogue.
• Device identifiers and push notification tokens.

What is retained (in anonymised form)

• Aggregate audit logs- timestamps of who-added-what within a business, with your identity removed. We retain these so your team's shared shopping list stays intact when you leave.
• Financial records - UK law requires us to retain invoicing data for up to 7 years. This only applies if you ever subscribed to a paid tier (none of our users have at the time of writing - ShopRunner is currently free during launch).

Retention summary

• 30-day grace period - you can reverse the deletion at any point within 30 days.
• Permanent deletion of personal data after 30 days.
• Anonymised audit logs are retained indefinitely (no personal data, no identifiers).
