Manager
Day-to-day operational lead at the shops they're added to.
Operational lead — runs the day-to-day at the shops they're added to.
What Managers can do
- Everything Staff can do
- Freeze lists, manage templates, print labels and promos
- Mark items as non-carrying / slow mover
- Manage reorder reminders
- Assign Buyer to staff members in their shops
- Add and remove shops in the business
- Use the Buy tab in any shop without needing the buyer flag
- Approve queue items, review offer lists and non-carrying requests
What Managers can't do
- Invite or remove staff at the business level
- Manage suppliers (favourites, supplier settings)
- Change business settings (name, industry, departments)
- See billing / change subscription
Per-shop Managers
Manager can be set per-shop - useful when one person manages two shops in different ways. For example, a head of operations might be Manager at the main shop and Staff at a second location. You'd use the per-shop role override in the staff edit sheet.
Buyer privilege comes free for Managers
Managers can use the Buy tab in any shop they're added to without being explicitly marked as a Buyer. They show up with a small auto badge in the staff list to indicate the buyer access is implied by the role.
When to give someone Manager
- They run the day-to-day at a shop you don't physically work at.
- They need to print labels and promos, set up templates, and freeze lists.
- They handle the approval queue and offer review during busy times.
